Ann Cochran was active in southern California in 1940, Originals where she designed and painted pottery. Her diverse painting subjects include clowns, circus scenes, and floral still lifes.
Ann Cochran and her twin sister danced at the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company in NY for seven years. She studied art for 10 years at the Art Students League, works have been exhibited in the Galleries and Museums throughout the US.
She had been president of many patriotic and/or genealogical societies such as the Dixie Club of NY, NY City Colony of the National Society of New England Women, a director of the NY Foundation of Kentucky Women, and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and SOROSIS. I had a hunch.
Ann Cochran died in 1968 in Manhattan. She left behind a substantial body of work, most of which was bought and serigraphed by commercial printers.
