DESCRIPTION:
This card-size painting was likely presented as a New Year’s card or present from the Plain Brothers company, a car services garage of Wanamie, PA or Cleveland, OH, ca.1845. Vollmer was a German painter and graphic designer who studied in Munich, Germany and Copenhagen, Denmark before founding the Hamburg, Germany Art Association in 1839.
