German-Polish animal & landscape painter, graphic artist and art teacher from Glogów, Willibald Paschke is most know for his stylized Art Nouveau rural landscapes that feature trees. He studied under Polish landscape painter Eugen Burkert [1866-1922] and landscape and architectural view painter Robert Sliwinski [1840-1902]. The artist’s love of the land is obvious, listed in German directories as a farmer in 1928. Paschke’s work has been featured in Polish museums and considered an important part of the modern movement in Polish painting.
