CONDITION:
Unrestored original condition with some large scratches.

DESCRIPTION:
In Roam (Rome) in dreamland; wake up in grease (Greece), ca.1860 a man falls asleep with candle in his hand and papers in the other on an old wooden high-back chair.  The Victorian painting is dark and mysterious possibly depicting a servant who longs to travel but must clean dirty plates.  The painting is enhanced by its unusual title which is printed on verso.
