On May 8, 1917 in Vale, OR, 50 young girls came together to create the Vale Girls Honor Guard which was part of the National Honor Guard. The Roman Bronze Works produced bronzes for Tiffany Studio and Frederick Remington and already had ties to the West. (See newspaper clipping).
