Adolphe Giraldon was born in Marseille, France. A pupil of François Louis Francais [1814-1897] and Luc-Olivier (Nicolas) Merson [1846-1920], Giraldon moved to live in Glasgow, where he became professor of decorative arts at the Glasgow School of Art. The Beaux Arts in Toulouse has several of Giraldon’s views of Venice. As a lithographer, Adolphe Giraldon was a contributor to L’Estampe Moderne.
